A prize of Narooma tourism

Beautiful Narooma is a picturesque town on the far south coast of New South Wales, about 350km south of Sydney. The town surrounds the Wagona inlet which trails sweeping bends of blue waters with bay after bay of discovery.

In 2014, two friends Mac Burge and Peter Hay bought a passion project - the Narooma Marina, looking over Forsters Bay. Over the next years they worked together and transformed it from a run down boat yard into a centre point of the local community, and a business their families could enjoy and be proud of. Sadly Peter passed away but the business remains the hands of the Burge family who are devoted to providing a fun water-based hospitality and entertainment business for locals and tourists to visit all year round.

Something for all who love the water

For boat owners and sea-going types, Narooma Marina offers moorings and berths, available with 24-hour security. Their infrared marina-cam gives owners the unique ability to view their boat and the current weather conditions via mobile app. No boat? No worries. The marina hires out 5-person fishing boats with sunshades and padded seats. You can get all your fishing gear in the chandlery on-site, including bait and ice.

For those who just like to dabble on a water holiday or weekend away, Narooma Marina hires out 2-seater canoes, 1-seater kayaks, pedal boats, stand-up paddle boards, surfboards and boogie boards. The real gem has to be their BBQ boats, which are each licensed for twelve people, and have padded seating, toilets, handwashing, a front deck and swimming ladder plus bluetooth music for your entertainment. All BBQ tools are supplied as is required safety gear - with no boat license required all you need to bring is some friends and the food!

Play, stay and eat!

Continuing build out the offering of the Marina, the Burge family have opened a two-bedroom guest suite overlooking the water, offering the completely unique experience of staying in a working Marina. Of course the residence encompasses a nautical theme with all the creature comforts to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. The space is fully renovated with an airy atmosphere which adds fantastic ambience to this already exceptional and beautiful location.

A weekend (or longer!) away would not be complete without breakfast a local coffee shop supporting local produce, and the Marina also now offers just that with the boutique café 'Coral at the Marina' completing the accommodation offering.
